Every year I doing my Oscar picks, this year is no different. Like in most years I haven’t even seen any of the movies nominated.
The Oscar’s are like a game, its not about who you think should win, its about who campaigned the best. You have to read, research, and plan the winners out based on past award shows, and who is peaking now. It has nothing to do with the actual movie.
So here goes . I will start with the lesser categories.

Make Up – The Iron Lady
Art Direction – The Artist
Cinematography - Hugo
Original Score – The Artist
Original Song – The one from the Muppet’s. (out of the 2 nominated)
Costume Design – The Artist
Foreign Language – The Separation, Iran ( sorry film from Canada)
Live Action Short – The Shore
Doc Short – God is the Bigger Elvis
Documentary Feature - Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory
Animated Short Film – The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore
Animated Feature - Rango
Editing – The Artist
Original Screenplay - Midnight in Paris
Adapted Screenplay – The Descendants
Director – The Artist
Supporting Actress - Octavia Spencer, The Help (if there is going to be an upset at the Oscars its always this category. Then the Bridesmaids chick wins)
Supporting Actor - Christopher Plummer who is the #1 lock.
Actress - Viola Davis,The Help
Actor - George Clooney, The Descendants
Picture – The Artist.
I wonder how many of the 24 I will get right this year.
